Seasonal Items
Stay prepared with coats, gloves, and other essentials during colder months, ensuring comfort throughout the year.
The Community Closet is open Thursday and Friday from 11am - 2pm. If you or someone you know could benefit from our resources, please contact us to schedule a visit.
Making a Difference in Real Lives
Every item donated represents a new beginning for someone working to rebuild their life. For many justice-impacted individuals, having access to professional clothing means the difference between confidently attending a job interview or missing an opportunity due to lack of appropriate attire.
The Community Closet provides more than just material goods—it offers hope, dignity, and a sense of community support during a critical transition period. When people feel properly equipped to face daily challenges, they're more likely to succeed in their reentry journey.

Over 4,000 Donations and Growing!
Since reopening our closet, we've been overwhelmed by the community's generosity. We've received more than 4,000 donations from local community leaders, sororities, fraternities, independent business owners, politicians, and community members.
Each donation represents a commitment to supporting justice-impacted individuals in their journey toward stability and self-sufficiency. Your contributions make an immediate, tangible difference in the lives of those working to rebuild after incarceration.
Why the Community Closet Matters
Building Confidence
Proper clothing and essentials boost self-esteem, particularly during job searches and professional interactions. When people look their best, they're more likely to feel their best and present themselves confidently.
Reducing Financial Burden
By alleviating the cost of purchasing basic items, families can allocate limited resources toward other priorities like housing, transportation, and education—critical factors in successful reentry.
Easing Reentry Stress
The transition from incarceration to community life comes with numerous challenges. Immediate, tangible support contributes to a smoother transition and reduces anxiety during an already stressful time.
Success Stories: Community Impact
"After 3 years of incarceration, I had nothing to wear to job interviews. The Community Closet provided me with two professional outfits that gave me the confidence to secure employment within two weeks. That job has been my foundation for rebuilding my life."
— Michael, Community Closet recipient
Stories like Michael's illustrate how something as simple as proper clothing can be transformative. By providing essential items, we help remove barriers to employment, housing, and social reintegration—critical components of successful reentry.
